Add the item to your cart and select your preferred pickup date and time. The return date will be automatically set.
For extended or last-minute hires (pickups on the same day as booking), please contact us via Instagram: @theeditdresshire.
Proceed to checkout, pay, and your item will be ready for pickup from our Leederville location on your selected date. Follow the prompts to finalise your booking.
Collection & Returns
Collection
All hire items are collection only (no delivery or postage). Items must be collected from the location and time selected at booking.
Returns
Items must be returned unwashed, in the garment bag provided, with the original coat hanger, by the agreed return date and time. Responsibility for the item remains with the hirer until it has been returned and inspected by us.

Terms & Conditions
By hiring an item from The Edit Dress Hire (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“Hirer”, “you”, “your”) you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. This agreement applies to all customers.
1. Definitions
Rental Item(s): Dresses, garments and accessories hired from us.
Rental Period: The inclusive period for which the item is hired.
Collection Date: The date the rental period begins.
Return Date: The date and time the item must be returned.
2. Rental Period & Return
The standard rental period is three (3) days, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
The rental period applies regardless of weekends or public holidays. Public holidays do not extend the rental period.
Items must be returned on or before the agreed return date and time.
3. Hire Fees & Payment
Full payment of the hire fee is required at the time of booking to secure the rental.
The hire fee includes professional dry cleaning following normal wear.
Additional charges may apply for excessive soiling, damage, or repairs beyond standard cleaning.
Due to the delicate nature of sequined and embellished pieces, a security bond will be charged and fully refunded provided the dress is returned in hireable condition
4. Collection & Return
All hire items are collection only. No delivery or postage is offered.
Items must be collected from and returned to the same location specified at the time of booking.
All items must be returned in the garment bags provided, with the original coat hanger included.
The Hirer is responsible for the rental item from the time of collection until it has been returned and inspected by us.
5. Late Returns
Items returned after the agreed return time will incur a late fee of $50 per day, or part thereof.
Late fees apply regardless of reason, including weekends or public holidays.
Items returned more than five (5) days late may be deemed lost, and replacement charges may apply.
6. Use of Rental Items
Rental items must be worn only by the person who has paid for the hire.
Rental items must not be shared, loaned, sub-hired, or worn by any other person.
Rental items must not be taken outside of Perth or the greater metropolitan area, including interstate, without prior approval from us.
The Hirer must not alter the rental item in any way, including hemming, pinning, cutting, dyeing, taping, or stitching.
The Hirer must not iron, steam, or apply heat to the garment.
The Hirer must take reasonable care to avoid damage caused by makeup, fake tan, body oils, perfumes, or deodorants.
7. Cleaning
Do not wash, dry-clean, steam, iron, or attempt to clean the garment yourself.
Professional dry cleaning is included in the hire fee and will be arranged by us upon return.
Any attempt by the Hirer to clean or treat the garment may result in damage and additional charges.
8. Damage, Loss & Liability
The Hirer accepts full responsibility for the rental item while it is in their possession.
Any damage, loss, or theft must be reported to us immediately.
Damage includes, but is not limited to:
stains (including makeup and fake tan stains)
tears, rips, or holes
broken zippers or fastenings
missing embellishments
fabric stretching or burns
The Hirer is responsible for all repair, specialist cleaning, or replacement costs arising from damage, loss, or theft.
If the rental item is damaged beyond repair, lost, or not returned, the Hirer agrees to pay up to 150% of the item’s retail value.
9. Inspection & Notification of Issues
All items are checked prior to hire.
The Hirer must inspect the item upon collection.
The Hirer is not responsible for any pre-existing defects or damage present at the time of collection, provided these are reported within 12 hours of collection.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made more than five (5) days prior to the commencement of the rental period may be eligible for a store credit, issued at our discretion.
Store credits are not available for change of mind or fit-related issues.
Store credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and cannot be redeemed for cash.
